Through a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on experience, you’ll gain confidence in essential areas like shop math, precision measuring, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), industrial blueprint reading, and shop safety. You’ll also get plenty of practice with real tools and machines as you learn turning, milling, and grinding techniques using foundational lathes and mills. Tuition includes everything you need to succeed — your textbook, lab fees, and a personal student tool kit you’ll use throughout the course and beyond.

Course Overview:

This 112-hour training course provides students with the fundamental skills required to become an entry-level Machinist within the Fabrication and Machining industry. This course is conducted in HACC’s fully-equipped Machine Shop and is designed to cover the essentials of shop math and measuring skills, geometric dimensioning and tolerances, industrial print reading, shop safety. OSHA-10 General Industry Certification is available for those who successfully complete this portion of the course. Students receive practical instruction and ample time to practice hands -on skills in turning, milling, and grinding using fundamental lathes and mills.

The tuition covers book, lab fees and a student tool kit.

Refund Policy

Any student who wishes to drop a course may do so by visiting or calling any of the campus Welcome Centers. These requests must be made no less than one calendar day prior to the first class meeting date to be eligible for a full refund of tuition and fees (except for any tuition or fees noted as nonrefundable).

Unless otherwise specifically stated or approved, no refund will be issued after a course-start date.

We do not issue partial refunds in the event that a student starts a course late or does not complete the course.

Online course registration and payments are limited to one per person.
