To minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission during AHA CPR Certification courses, HACC- Shumaker Public Safety Center, EMS Education unit will be conducting limited offerings of the blended Heartsaver CPR & AED as well as Heartcode BLS until social distancing guidelines for reducing the transmission of COVID-19 outbreak are no longer in effect.*

| About | The American Heart Association (AHA) has developed eLearning components for the Heartsaver CPR AED. Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training, who needs a course completion card for a job, regulatory agency (i.e., OHSA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. The required online portion is purchased separately, directly through the American Heart Association. | The AHA's Heartcode BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel in a clinical setting who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. E-Learning component of BLS blended learning, this course uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills. | Who should take this class? | General public, Massage Therapists, Educators/Schools, Businesses and Industries.
