Course Overview:

*Prerequisites: Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology & Disease 1, and Anatomy & Physiology & Disease 2

This course serves as a brief introduction to compliance issues that will pave the way for other compliance discussions later in the program. It is not intended to be an all-inclusive course.

This course will equip the students with knowledge knowledge and understanding of compliance organizations, what they do, the purpose and effectiveness of a compliance plan, FWA (fraud, waste and abuse), how to be an "ethical coder", and how to improve clinical documentation.

Refund Policy: Any student who wishes to drop a course may do so by calling any of the campus Welcome Centers. Unless otherwise specifically stated or approved, no refund will be issued after a course-start date. We do not issue partial refunds in the event that a student starts a course late or does not complete the course. Online course registration and payments are limited to one per person.
