Ladies Only Firearm Training (LOFT) (LEW063_CRN81719)

This four (4) hour course is designed specifically for the female shooter and is led and taught by a female instructor, who is certified firearms and defensive tactics instructor. Students will be taught basic handgun safety, how to load and unload a pistol or revolver and how to properly clear the weapon. Students will be taught about the different types of handguns, ammunition and how they operate. Students will also learn the 7 fundamentals of shooting, culminating with live fire on our state-of-the-art indoor range.

Students who who rent our handgun & ammo: will be provided one of our 9 mm Glock range pistols and sufficient ammunition to complete the course successfully (up to 50 rounds). A basic cleaning kit will be provided for your use.

Students who rent our ammo: will be provided with sufficient ammunition to complee the course successfully (up to 50 rounds). The ammunition available is .38 spl, 9 mm, .380 acp, .40 cal, and .45 acp.

ALL STUDENTS need the following: proper hearing and eye protection (can be provided to the student) and a baseball-style hat (student must provide this).

Refund Policy

If HACC cancels a course, training, seminar, conference or trip/tour, all paid participants will receive a 100% refund of all tuition and fees. Any student who wishes to drop a course may do so by visiting or calling any of the campus Welcome Centers. These requests must be made no less than one (1) calendar day prior to the first class meeting date to be eligible for a full refund of tuition and fees, except for any tuition or fees noted as nonrefundable. Unless otherwise specifically stated or approved, no refund will be issued after a class start date. We do not issue partial refunds in the event a student starts a class late or does not complete the class. Students receiving Title IV Financial Aid will be subject to the federal regulations regarding withdrawal of classes. Financial Aid eligibility will be recalculated based on dates of participation in financial aid eligible programs.
