Course Description
Teamwork is a fluid and often evasive topic in our current workplaces. In the chaotic current status of many teams, including remote working and limited resources, we are all challenged to maintain connections and efficient, healthy interactions to meet business needs. In this interactive session, explore the foundational elements required for team cohesion including team stages, what team members need for communication and support, and how leaders can facilitate forward progress and harness the talents of diverse teams. Objectives
1. Participants will learn the dysfunctions that teams typically display and how they can proactively work to strengthen their team in each of these areas as demonstrated by their action plan presented to other participants and application of these principles with their work team.
2. Each participant will identify their core, leadership and professional competencies and develop a professional development plan to grow in the competencies identified.
3. An appreciation of leadership styles needed for success will be gained as participants come to understand the difference between transactional and transformational leadership with their team.
