Course Overview
This 4-hour review reinforces the essential skills required for Pennsylvania Nurse Aide candidates. It focuses on safety, infection control, resident rights, and hands-on skills evaluated during the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP®) Examination.
This review will allow students to practice all 21 testable skills before performing these skills at the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP®) Examination according to Pennsylvania Department of Health and Nurse Aide Registry standards.
Goals/Objectives
Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:
1. Demonstrate correct performance of all 21 skills within the time limit.
2. Apply infection control and resident safety principles throughout care.
3. Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and communication during care.
4. Perform skills according to Pennsylvania Department of Health and Nurse Aide Registry standards.
Communication
This program is taught in English. Students must be able to speak, write, and understand English fluently.

Students should have completed an approved Nurse Aide Training Program and are seeking a review of the 21 testable skills before taking the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program Examination (NNAAP®).
