Course Overview:
In this three-day course you will learn how to perform a traditional Thai Massage in the supine and prone position, plus the key to career longevity and satisfaction. Upon completion of this course (plus a little home practice) you will be ready to add Thai massage to your menu of services or integrate it into your table routine. Additionally, you will learn the history and theory of this ancient practice and the Sen (energy) line system of healing. A course manual and FREE DVD is included with your tuition. This course is eligible for 21 CE Hours.
Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:
*Be able to perform a full-body Thai Massage in the Supine and Prone positions.
*Understand the history and theory of traditional Thai massage
*Be able to list the benefits, applications, and contraindications of traditional Thai massage.
*Be able to employ the Thai approach to body-mechanics that can be applied to any style of massage therefore reducing common repetitive strain injuries for the therapist.
*Have the tools to continue to practice after the class with a step-by-step photo manual and DVD.
*Be able to incorporate 75% of the covered techniques into their table sessions.
*Know proper draping techniques for incorporating Thai massage techniques on a massage table.
