Focuses on advanced forearm techniques to deliver effective massages. This comprehensive one-day course, specifically tailored for therapists, who want to advance their deep tissue massage skills, while minimizing strain and exertion. Students increase proficiency in over 20 techniques, covering both prone, supine and side-lying positions. These techniques can be immediately incorporated into personalized massages that address individual client requirements. Accentuating proper body mechanics and energy-efficient methods, the course primarily consists of hands-on training. This course is eligible for eight (8) continuing education units (CEU’s).
Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:
• Demonstrate proficiency in identifying proper body mechanics and adjusting through body weight, table height and execution of Advanced Forearm Fusion techniques
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge in identifying when to use specific techniques per their clients’ needs and soft tissue restrictions
• Identify and perform each Advanced Forearm Fusion technique with skill and proficiency
• Demonstrate proficiency in identifying techniques for assessing body soft tissue
About the Instructor:
Jim has been a massage therapist for over 30 years and has been teaching for over 25 years. He enjoys teaching continuing education courses and meeting new students. He developed Forearm Fusion because he saw so many therapists leave the field after a couple years due to burn out and injury and he wanted to give them tools for longevity. Jim co-owns the Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks in Pottstown, PA as well as Rapunzelʻs Salon and Spa in Lansdale, PA.
