Course Overview
Designed for the experienced analog black and white (B&W) photographer with prior darkroom experience, this course will enable students to independently utilize HACC’s state-of-the art B&W darkroom facility to process film, produce contact sheets, and print B&W prints during open, supervised lab sessions.
Learning Objectives:
- Independently use darkroom tools, materials, and equipment
- Improve skills to successfully develop and print analogue black and white photographs
- Apply technical skills to a personal photography practice

Course Materials:
HACC will provide darkroom facility, equipment, and chemicals. Students must provide the following:
- 35 mm camera
- Black and white analog film
- Darkroom B&W paper: Ilford Multigrade FB Classic Paper-BH #ILMGF202410S MFR #1172126
