Course Overview
Designed for the experienced analog black and white (B&W) photographer with prior darkroom experience, this course will enable students to independently utilize HACC’s state-of-the art B&W darkroom facility to process film, produce contact sheets, and print B&W prints during open, supervised lab sessions. Successful completion of orientation/safety course, CEDW 015 “Intro to Black and White Darkroom Practices” is required as either a pre-requisite or as a co-requisite for usage of HACC’s darkroom facility and equipment. CEDW 015 may be waived for those with advanced darkroom experience with administrator approval.

Course Materials:
HACC will provide darkroom facility, equipment, and chemicals. Students must provide the following:
- 35 mm camera
- Black and white analog film
- Darkroom B&W paper: Ilford Multigrade FB Classic Paper-BH #ILMGF202410S MFR #1172126

Completion of the intro course is required in order to enroll in the Black and White Photography Darkroom Open Lab course with the exception of prior approval by the instructor.
