Course Description:
Covers risk management, safety and insurance as they pertain to the nursing facility. This course discusses the importance of having a good strategic plan that includes marketing and public relations. This course is one of 16 required course modules, mandated by the PA State Board of Nursing Home Administrators, that make up the 120-hour Nursing Home Administrator certificate program for those desiring to become a nursing home administrator. This course may be taken as part of the full program or as a standalone for those individuals desiring continuing education units.
Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:
• Understand the importance of having a good strategic plan, including marketing and public relations in long term care settings.
