Course Description:
Discusses the nursing department and resident care management as it pertains to the nursing facility. Specific topics covered are: the common needs of the nursing home resident, communication and interpersonal relationship skills, professional ethics and conduct and psychological problems of the nursing home resident. This course is one of 16 required course modules, mandated by the PA State Board of Nursing Home Administrators, that make up the 120-hour Nursing Home Administrator certificate program for those desiring to become a nursing home administrator. This course may be taken as part of the full program or as a standalone for those individuals desiring continuing education units.
Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:
