Course Description:
This course discusses fiscal management, budgeting and accounting, specifically those practices that pertain to the administration of nursing homes. This course is one of 16 required course modules, mandated by the PA State Board of Nursing Home Administrators, that make up the 120-hour Nursing Home Administrator certificate program for those desiring to become a nursing home administrator. This course may be taken as part of the full program or as a standalone for those individuals desiring continuing education units.
Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:
• Understand fiscal management, budgeting and accounting practices as they pertain to the administration of a nursing home.

Format: Each module meets via zoom or in person, on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.
