Course Overview:

OSHA-30 General Industry training provides instruction for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in general industry. The class is open to everyone and is recommended for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility. The OSHA-30 General Industry course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in general industry. The program is taught by an Authorized OSHA Outreach trainer, and students who successfully complete the training will receive their OSHA-30 General Industry wallet card. Cards are issued by OSHA approximately 8-12 weeks after the course ends.

Course Objectives:

Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:

• Understand the role OSHA (Occupational Health and Safety Administration)

• Identify the potential hazards on walking and working surfaces

• Recognize and avoid potential electrical hazards

• Comprehend the function and importance of exit routes, emergency action plans, fire prevention plans and basic fire protection procedures

• Properly select, don and doff the appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) required for a particular job

• Demonstrate understanding of the various hazards associated with the movement and handling of materials

• Identify and use hazard communications

• Develop comprehension of the general principles of managing safety and health

 

CLASS CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum enrollment numbers must be met in order for trainings to be held. Trainings with less than the required minimum enrollment are subject to cancellation or rescheduling. Classes will be cancelled or rescheduled no less than seven (7) working days before the scheduled start day of class and enrollees will be contacted.

Refund Policy

Any student who wishes to drop a course may do so by visiting or calling any of the campus Welcome Centers. These requests must be made no less than one calendar day prior to the first class meeting date to be eligible for a full refund of tuition and fees (except for any tuition or fees noted as nonrefundable).

Unless otherwise specifically stated or approved, no refund will be issued after a course-start date.

We do not issue partial refunds in the event that a student starts a course late or does not complete the course.

Online course registration and payments are limited to one per person.

Refund Policy

If HACC cancels a course, training, seminar, conference or trip/tour, all paid participants will receive a 100% refund of all tuition and fees. Students receiving Title IV Financial Aid will be subject to the federal regulations regarding withdrawal of classes.
