The Senator John J. Shumaker Public Safety Center is a Pennsylvania Department of Health Accredited Certification Training Institute.
This course is being offered in an online/blended format. The program is a combination of self-paced online modules with interactive assignments and discussions. Students are required to attend in-person lab sessions throughout the program to demonstrate their competency in numerous psychomotor skills, complete testing requirements and prepare for clinical experiences and the NREMT examinations.
Students must be a credentialed EMT.
The tuition is $1,050. This does not cover the textbook, or national registry testing fees.
Students will need this textbook by the first class - Advanced Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured 2nd ed.
Advanced EMT students are responsible for a combination of emergency room and field time, for a total of 100 hours. The clinical application must be completed successfully prior to the beginning of the clinical experience.
